Ataxia

Ataxia is a neurological condition characterized by impaired coordination and balance due to damage or dysfunction within the cerebellum or its connections. Individuals with ataxia may experience an unsteady gait, poor balance, difficulty with precise movements, tremors, and challenges with coordination of the arms, legs, or eyes. Everyday activities such as walking, climbing stairs, reaching, writing, or carrying objects may become more difficult. Ataxia can result from a variety of neurological conditions, injuries, or genetic disorders, and symptoms may remain stable or progress over time depending on the underlying cause.
